Line of research: The group works in two Line of researchs involving the development of new drugs and understanding the biological mechanisms of antimicrobials.  

In the first, it aims to develop new molecules (drugs) through the fragment-based drug design technique applied to tuberculosis.  

In the second, it studies synthetic biology and biotechnology processes, where it investigates how some microorganisms are capable of producing antibiotics and applies this knowledge in obtaining derivatives of known antibiotics with altered biological activity.
